300 MB Free Picture Hosting From Google/Blogger

Google is so bloody close to creating an almost total democracy without barriers to entry on the Internets for free. You can upload tens of thousands of pictures, and can also link them from elsewhere, not necessary Blogger. If they can only allow 300 MB free website hosting also, this thing will really take off... it instantly creates a whole new world of mass media and broadcasting through podcasts etc. The following are pictures from my favourite movie Lost In Translation...

They have this functionality for a while, but previously accessible through a program called Hello. But with the new "image" icon in the post editor's toodbar, it's now so much easier. This is good news.

Yeah, I've heard of Hello and Picasa but I never tried it because they don't mention how much free space they allow. Plus I guess the interface doesn't look very intuitive...;)

Picasa is actually a program for organising image files on your own harddisk--it's quite good and intuitive actually. It is able to search out all of them and arrange them by date, etc. Hello is only so-so friendly (the interface takes some getting use to), but like you said, it didn't say how much space is available.

Yeah, what I meant was that I haven't used the two together to post pics on the blogs; I had the impression that Hello was an addon mod for Picasa. Maybe I'm wrong... Picasa as a standalone is great!

I use Hello. Sometimes. It's not bad.

Haven't seen Lost in Translation. It looks boring. I don't like Scarlett Johannesson (I know I can't spell her name correctly, I can't be bothered checking to see the correct spelling).

Hey Jac, I just came back a few hours ago. :) We're separated... /hugs back... ;)

You're right Alison, make no mistake, LiT is the most boring film of all time, there's virtually no plot. However... aiyah, I don't know how to describe it. I was a zombie for days after watching it. I subsequently watched it four more times at the Picaddily. It's the most magical movie I've ever seen... Both Johansson and Murray are absolutely fantastic in this movie.

Watch it preferably alone, on a quiet night...
