London Weeping

When I first heard the news on TV, one thing that came to my mind was: can Singapore handle something of this magnitude? I guess I'm resigned to the idea that terrorist acts will happen anywhere in the world; it will happen, if not in London, then elsewhere. The victims were innocent civilians who for no particular reason were at the wrong place at the wrong time. The bad guys think they have justification for their actions, but they do not. They are just plain cold-blooded murderers. On a related note, I think it's easy to forget that we're also collectively responsible for a different kind of terrorism in Iraq and elsewhere. The world is already such a messed up place; we don't need more violence to make things even worse. Then again, things are not always that simplistic. For the friends and families of the victims, no explanation would be adequate to make sense of things...

yeah, it's sad huh. well, one thing we can do is to pray for them. i believe God will judge the perpetrators of these acts in the end. another thing we can do is help fight poverty, since a lot of these problems arise from economic conflicts. <"http://www.worldvision.org"> is a good site, i think...it not only helps the poor, but it's also a christian organization and helps to spread the gospel. (finally! i don't have to spread the gospel myself and annoy the heck out of ppl around me!). i just sponsored a child from ghana in light of the london bombings.

Nice work... I think spreading the gospel is not really just about talking, per se, but living a 'live testimony' that speaks for itself, hopefully...;)

yeah? i hope so too, because lately, it seems that all my churchmates think "spreading the gospel" means telling people about Christ and 'forcing' them to church. and you update quite a bit, man. lol
